Coaching applications now open! Apply before 2/15/26!
We love seeing our former FAST Coaches back at the pool, and hope many of you will return next season! We have 3 Coaching Groups. Please read the descriptions below carefully and select the correct application for the group you are eligible for, and then click the link for that application. We require all of our coaches to be Lifeguard Certified. You can find a certification class through the City of Friendswood if needed.
Assistant Coach

Must be a high school graduate with prior coaching experience.
Applications due February 15, 2026.
You are eligible to apply for the assistant coaching position if you have graduated from high school. This is a paid coaching position. You must have prior experience coaching to be eligible for this position and have a current lifeguard certification.
Paid Coach
Paid Coach
Must be at least 15 years old.
Applications due February 15, 2026.
You are eligible to apply for a paid coaching position if you are currently 16 years of age or older (as of May 1st) and have a current lifeguard certification. This is a paid coaching position. If you are a Senior in high school, you are eligible to apply for the Clear Creek Swim League scholarship.
Junior coach
Junior coach
Must be age 14-15 and in high school.
Applications due February 15, 2026.
You are eligible to apply for a Junior Coach position if you are 14 years of age or older. This is a volunteer position. At the completion of the season you will receive a letter from the team documenting your volunteer service hours (if requested). If you are currently in the 8th grade, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis! Contact coaching@friendswoodswim.org with questions.
