Champ Series Information

Last Chance Meet will be held on Monday, June 23rd.
Location: Galena Park ISD Natatorium, 15027 Wallisville Rd., Houston, Tx, 77015
Start Time: 6:30pm

If you would like to participate in this meet you must do on deck entries. They will accept on deck entries between 4:00pm – 5:15pm. The cost will be $5.00 per event. Checks should be made out to North Channel Aquatics. No entries will be accepted after 5:15pm.

Warm-ups will be from 5:00pm – 6:20pm.

If you participate in this meet and make a reserve or champ time it is your responsibility to get in touch with one of the Coaches or Debra Tomerlin to let them know if you want to swim in the Champ Series. The form to fill out is on our web site at friendswoodswim.org.

If your child is participating in this series you will be asked to volunteer. We will have to provide timers and runners.

The team is also responsible for getting there swimmers to the ready area on time.

Remember we will be sitting out doors this year. Come prepared!

It will be time to sign up for the Champ Series before we know it. To be prepared you need to start determining if your child has any Reserve or Champ times and in what meets you would like your child to participate. You can find a copy of the cutoff times in your FAST handbook or on the CCSL website, ccslswim.org. If your swimmer is 12 years old or younger and does not have a Reserve or Champ time in an event they may swim it in the Novice Meet. Swimmers 13 years old and older automatically qualify for the Reserve Meet if they do not have a Champ time in an event. Copies of the Champ Meet Signup Form with detailed instructions will be available soon from the Coaches, Debra Tomerlin, or off the website. See this link for more information and forms

Your swimmer has to have competed in at least 2 regular season meets
to compete in the Champ Series.

The Deadline for entries will be June 22nd at Team Party.
No late entries will be accepted.

After June 21st -Abbreviated practice open only to swimmers qualifying for the CCSL Champ Series meet, scheduled for the weekend of 6/28 - 6/29.
Pool Improvements! The city has made many improvements to the pool with more to come. It looks beautiful! Improvements include shade canopies, hand dryers, new mirrors and partitions in restrooms, landscaping, a new drinking fountain with mister, new baby pool blanket, new facility signs, and reconstruction of bathroom floors. This is very exciting for the City and pool users should be thrilled!
